Company History

Automatika, Inc., based in O’Hara Township, PA, and now part of the QinetiQ North America Technology Solutions Group, was founded in 1995 by two Carnegie Mellon University faculty to invent, design, prototype, and develop robotic and automation products for military, energy, and hazardous inspection market sectors. Automatika has grown from one part-time employee in 1995, to a current roster of 23 employees with continued hiring planned.

Our current fields of expertise are:

• Production of military reconnaissance robotic products
• Research and development of new military and civil defense robotic solutions
• Research and development and pilot scale product manufacturing of robotic technologies
